Training Camp is an extended weekend that takes place annually in April. Training Camp is typically hosted at a camp in Northern Arizona. Chapel Rock Camp & Conference Center has hosted Men’s Practice the last two years. A featured speaker leads the teaching sessions at Training Camp. The men are divided into small groups and each small group meets after the main teaching session, one on Friday night, two on Saturday, and concluding on Sunday morning. Praise and worship takes place before each session. Many recreational activities are included. Pickleball, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, frisbee golf, fishing, hiking, archery, and corn hole are some of the involved activities throughout the weekend.
A men’s ministry is a program or group (within a church or separate from a church) that is specifically designed to minister to the needs of men. The ministry should be focused on helping men grow in their faith, develop healthy relationships with other men, and become better leaders in their homes, churches, and communities. At Men’s Practice, we specifically train on how to live out God’s Word. The Bible is our playbook, and we focus heavily on God’s guidance through His Word.
This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. –Psalm 118:24
